Hi, I'm Paula

Registered Nutritionist & Health Coach

I have a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Human Nutrition and Exercise and Sports Science from Massey University, Auckland, New Zealand. I am a Registered Nutritionist (NZ) with the Nutrition Society of New Zealand.

Before obtaining my degree, I studied nutrition informally for many years. This passion to seek the best ways to achieve great health intensified when I had children and wanted them to receive all the benefits that come from vibrant health. I wanted them to grow & develop with resilient, healthy bodies that would form a strong foundation for their future adult bodies.

Being healthy and eating healthy food doesn’t need to be expensive. It doesn’t need to involve expensive ingredients or living on ‘rabbit food’ and losing the enjoyment and pleasure of eating. Healthy food can be economical and great tasting and preparation methods don’t need to be complicated.

I will guide you through the gentle, gradual changes and together we will find an eating style that best suits you. I will give you the resources and support you need to be successful long term. It will be my joy to guide you on this journey to better health.

After completing my secondary schooling, I qualified as a Food Technologist and worked for two major food companies for a total of 5 years. My role was research and development of new products for the food market. This experience gave me a very good understanding of just how much processing goes into our convenience foods.

I also spent a year as owner/manager of a busy café, and I loved it. The interaction with people, working with food and coffee was a wonderful experience. However, my real passion is nutrition and helping people achieve their health goals to enhance their lives and enable them to live in a way that provides them with energy to do all the things they want to.

I believe in eating whole foods, as close to how they occur in nature as possible, with minimal or no processing involved. Foods that are rich in nutrients and make a positive impact on our health. Eating seasonally and local where possible to maximise nutrition.

She is a Registered Nutritionist at the Nutrition Society of New Zealand. *

She will support you to make practical changes to your food, lifestyle, and movement strategies, and help you through the process to overcome any obstacles that might pop up along the way. Changing habits is not always easy but with the 45-minute check ins, Paula will help you stay on track.
